During the spring of 2016, Pastis in partnership with the City of Cape Town and High Constantia Residential Estate, established the first roadside vineyard in the valley.

With the help and guidance of Andre Rousseau (Rousseau Wines) and David van Niekerk (High Constantia Winery), over 100 Shiraz vines were planted on the site.

The vines were supplied by Mischa Vine Nursery, out in Wellington; South Africa’s top producer of vine stock.

The aim of the project was to convert a tract of unused land that was largely covered by alien vegetation into an attractive and productive gem.

We look forward to the first harvest in March 2019 ….
